You know the ‘ole saying, “work hard and party harder.” Sounds fun, no? But what if you had to choose one manufacturer that could fulfill both work, and party requirements? Who would you choose?

This week we visited ‘The Work Truck Show’ in Indianapolis, Indiana, where everything was all about — you guessed it — work trucks! Carblog was on-site to witness the latest commercial offerings from Nissan, which are designed to lure customers away from the competition, and keep current passenger vehicle owners within the brand.


In fact, targeting Nissan loyalists who currently own commercial vehicles from competeting manufacturers is crucial. Regardless of which strategy is more important, the truth is that the commercial vehicle segment is alive — and thriving.

Just because they are commercial units, it doesn’t mean these are your typical white and boring trucks and vans. Far from it. Nissan brought several NV Cargo vans decked out to fit different needs across several industries, and even dazzled us with the NV Cargo X van we previously saw at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show.

Besides the utilitarian NV cargo vans, various trims of the 2017 Nissan Titan XD diesel were also on display, including one with a plow attachment and utility racks. If  you think these aren’t a big deal, think again! The snowplowing service industry is a $2.8 billion dollar industry which employs over a quarter of a million people in the United States alone, according to IBIS.
