Season’s First Major Auto Show Will Have Something for Everyone

The Los Angeles Auto Show is kicking off the 2017-2018 global auto show season with more than 50 international and North American debuts. One of those debuts will be of the new MINI electric concept pictured above, but virtually every major automaker — from General Motors to Toyota, and BMW to Lexus — is planning to make splash at this year’s AutoMobility LA; the press and trade debut exhibition from Nov. 27-30 that precedes the public show happening from Dec. 1-10.

Likely the most derided debut confirmed for LA will be the 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. Really, Mitsubishi? Really? Are you trying to upset us with this lazy, inappropriate model name? The only way you could be outdone is if Cadillac reintroduced the Cimarron. Moving away from vehicles we love to hate, this year will mark Tesla’s first year exhibiting in one of the show’s main halls. They certainly have come far, haven’t they?

“L.A. is at the forefront of the ever-evolving new mobility industry,” said Lisa Kaz, President of AutoMobility LA and the LA Auto Show. “With this vehicle debut lineup, we’re set to deliver the best of what’s to come in the automotive space. We look forward to seeing these exciting vehicles unveiled during AutoMobility LA, and to learn how they will shape the future of the industry.”
